Kos island is a significant and exciting island for nautical tourism. If you decide to sail North or South Dodecanese islands most probably, Kos island will be one of your destinations. Here you will spend some hours sightseeing or enjoy bustling overnight. The island measures 40 by 8 kilometres and is located 4 km (2 miles) from the coast of Turkey. The main port on the island, Kos town, is also the tourist and cultural centre. It’s a beautiful small town with whitewashed buildings including many restaurants, shops and boutiques and many nightclubs forming the Kos town “bar street”.
For the reason that limited gulets are available for boarding on Kos, most of the gulets are coming to Kos from nearby Turkish ports. You can reach Kos island from Bodrum port in less than 2 hours navigation. On arrival to Kos harbour, your gulet will first complete customs formalities and after you are free to discover the island.
