Cabin Gulet Cruises

Cabin cruises in Turkiye generally cost from 770€ per person per week to no more than €1,200 per person during high season. This usually includes all meals on board and port taxes, making it an excellent value for a week-long gulet holiday.

Private Gulet Charters

Prices for a private gulet charter depend on several factors, including the season, the boat, the crew, the level of comfort and your preferred menu.

There are options for different budgets. You can find a private gulet charter at a price comparable to a cabin cruise, or choose a higher level of comfort, with a very good onboard menu and service.

In Turkiye, for example, a budget of around €2,000 per person can offer some very good options for a private gulet holiday, based on sharing the total charter cost among the guests. And if you are travelling with a larger group, the price per person can be even lower.

A private gulet charter generally includes the main operating expenses of the boat, such as port fees, agency services, fuel (according to the agreed cruising programme) and fresh water for showers and daily use on board.

A professional crew is also included. Depending on the size and category of the gulet, the crew usually consists of at least a captain, a chef and one or more sailors. On larger or higher-category gulets, the crew can include five or more members, ensuring both navigation and service on board are taken care of.

Your gulet will also be prepared with bed linen, bath towels and beach towels. Air conditioning is available on most boats, although operating hours may be limited depending on the gulet.

You can also enjoy the equipment available on board, such as snorkelling gear, watersports equipment, music systems and games. Keep in mind that some activities may involve additional costs, particularly fuel for watersports.

Private Gulet Charters

With a private gulet charter, meals are usually arranged according to your preferences, and you can choose from different menu and catering options.

We generally recommend choosing full board whenever possible. One of the special features of a private gulet holiday is having your own private chef, dedicated exclusively to preparing meals for you and your guests.

There may be some lovely restaurants along the coast, but dining on board, with your own chef preparing fresh meals just for your group, is a very different experience.

With a private gulet charter, the itinerary can be tailored to the way you want to spend your holiday.

When planning your trip, it's important to agree on the embarkation port, depending on the gulet's availability and your travel plans, as well as a general route and cruising area.

We can then suggest a route based on your preferences: whether you enjoy spending more time sailing, visiting coastal villages and places of interest, or simply swimming and relaxing in beautiful bays.

Once on board, there's no need to plan every day in detail. Your captain can adjust the daily route along the way, taking your preferences, sea conditions and weather into account.

A day on a gulet usually starts with breakfast on deck, followed by a morning swim in a beautiful bay. After breakfast, the captain will let you know the plans for the day and the gulet sets off towards the next destination.

There will be time for swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the sea, followed by lunch freshly prepared by the chef and served on board.

The afternoon is for relaxing, reading, enjoying the views or taking another swim in a different bay. Depending on the route, the gulet may also stop near a coastal village or island, giving you the chance to go ashore and explore.

In the evening, you can enjoy an aperitif on deck while watching the sunset, followed by dinner on board. And when the day comes to an end, you can relax in your cabin or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the sea under the stars.

Of course, every day is different. The route and daily schedule depend on the destination, weather conditions and your preferences.

The traditional gulet cruising season in Turkiye runs from late April to mid-November, although some boats based in Bodrum remain available during the winter months for short stays, harbour stays and occasional trips.

Low Season – April, October and November

These months are ideal if you prefer quieter bays, fewer tourists and more attractive prices. The weather can be less predictable, with occasional rain and wind, but there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy the coast, explore local villages and go on excursions. In late October and November, the sea can still be warm enough for swimming, although the days are shorter.

Mid-Season – June and September

These are among the best months for a gulet holiday. You can enjoy warm weather, pleasant sea temperatures and long sunny days, while avoiding the busiest weeks of summer. Prices are generally more favourable than in July and August, making these months an excellent balance between weather, availability and value for money.

High Season – July and August

These are the busiest and most popular months for a gulet cruise in Turkiye. Expect hot summer days, warm sea temperatures and a lively atmosphere along the coast. Prices are at their highest, and we recommend booking your preferred gulet well in advance.

Gulet cruises in Greece can be more expensive than in Turkiye. Although Greece has a well-developed yacht charter market, the number of traditional gulets available is more limited, especially when compared with the wide selection of sailing boats and catamarans.

This means that finding a gulet with exactly the right size, layout, comfort level and price is not always easy. Operating costs in Greece, including maintenance, crew and onboard services, can also be higher, which is reflected in charter prices.

However, there are still some beautiful gulets available for cruising in the Greek islands. If you have specific requirements, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can check availability and find the most suitable options.

Yes! Some Turkish gulets are authorised to cruise outside Turkish territorial waters and can include the Greek islands in their itinerary. This is a great opportunity to combine the Turkish coast with the Greek islands during your gulet holiday.

Depending on the gulet's departure port, different routes are possible:

• From Bodrum: North or South Dodecanese islands.

• From Marmaris: South Dodecanese islands.

• From Fethiye or Kaş: The beautiful Greek island of Kastellorizo (Megisti).

Important: Permits and Additional Costs

Not all Turkish gulets are authorised to enter Greek waters. The required permits are usually arranged by the boat before the beginning of the cruising season. For this reason, if you wish to include Greek islands in your itinerary, we strongly recommend planning and booking well in advance.

You should also consider additional border-crossing and transit costs.

When leaving Turkiye, the boat must complete the required document checks and customs formalities with the Turkish authorities. Upon entering Greece, further document checks and customs procedures are required, together with the applicable transit fees.

These fees are calculated according to the boat's technical specifications, including its size and tonnage, as well as the number of days spent in Greek waters. Similar procedures and charges also apply when leaving Greece and returning to Turkiye.

These payments are made directly to the relevant authorities and are not normally included in the gulet charter price.

The standard duration of a gulet cruise is one week, but there are also shorter options depending on the type of charter and the season.

Cabin Gulet Cruises

Cabin cruises are usually available as weekly trips, from Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning. Some operators also offer six-day cruises, ending around Friday at noon. In this case, the last night on board is spent in port and is not included in the cruising itinerary.

In Turkiye, you can also find mini gulet cruises lasting three nights. These usually follow one-way routes, with embarkation and disembarkation in different ports.

Private Gulet Charters

Private gulet charters are generally organised on a weekly basis, from Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning. This is the standard arrangement for most gulets, allowing time to enjoy the route without rushing.

Shorter private charters may sometimes be available during the low season or for last-minute bookings, when a gulet has not been booked for a full week. However, booking a private gulet for less than seven nights well in advance is not usually possible, as most boats give priority to weekly charters.
